The dictionary is na interdisciplinary project connecting more then 20 dance researchers from Poland to create the first compendium of knowledge about dance – its aesthetics, techniques, forms and creators. The term dance is understood by the authors of the project as covering all phenomena in the field of artistic stage dance, including ballet, dance theatre as well as other forms of physical expression and artistic bodily practices: movement theatre, contact improvisation, parcour, conceptual dane, performance, etc.
Tomek Ciesielski is one of the initiators of the project, secretary of the editorial board and author of the entries.
