Research and implementation projects I run or co-run. From technology transfer at the university to research where art is a tool, not an ornament.
UNIC BLENDS
A project of the UNIC alliance, which brings together universities of European post-industrial cities. The University of Łódź joins as one of the leading partners in innovation and entrepreneurship, responsible among other things for technology transfer and entrepreneurship education. The Łódź side is developing the alliance’s shared framework for assessing commercialisation readiness.
Performative Research and the Challenges of Civilisation
Known as PEREBEL. Five residencies in which international teams of artists, researchers and business practitioners work on the crises: wellbeing, technology, security, climate and communication. The results are a good-practice database, a book and an international symposium in 2026.
The Art of Science — The Science of Art
Bringing the practice-as-research method to a wider audience through the performance “Odyssey”. Showings, workshops and discussions in five cities — with Mandala Performance Festival, Malta, Komuna Warszawa, the Gdańsk Dance Festival and Łaźnia Nowa Theatre.
Functions and Methods of Attention Distribution in Contemporary Dance Theatre
Research into the experience of dance from the side of cognitive processes — not through context, technique or history, but through what lets us dance and lets us be gripped by watching it. It connects cultural and theatre studies with cognitive science and phenomenology.
Dictionary of Contemporary Dance
The first Polish work of its kind — 732 pages of entries setting out the concepts of contemporary dance, co-edited with Małgorzata Leyko and Joanna Szymajda. It fills a gap that left many phenomena without a definition in Polish.
Knowing the Dancing Elephant
A programme of an exhibition, an outdoor installation and a weekend of performative showings, built around the parable of six blind men examining an elephant. About the fact that every research method touches a different part of the same phenomenon.
Innovative Design Methods in Choreographic Practice
Bringing digital design methods into choreographic work: meetings with experts from business, science and the arts, research into service design methodology, a good-practice base for team management, and testing all of it in practice.
Kiosk in Motion
A project about what dance means today — when it runs through theatre, performance and visual arts, and replaces none of them. Meetings, choreographic games, workshops and a small media library prepared with the Brussels organisation ABC – Art Basics for Children.
