Work with me

People come to me in one of three situations. Below is what happens in each of them and where we start.

You are looking for university technology

As director of the Technology Transfer Centre at the University of Łódź, I will walk you through what the university has to offer — from the first conversation with a research team to a licence or a spin-off.

And if you don’t yet know what you are looking for, we have Science Hub for that. You don’t need to arrive with a specific technology in mind. It is enough to describe what isn’t working — you bring the problem, and research teams take it on.

You have a problem one team cannot solve

I set up collaboration between people who speak different languages: science, business, public administration — and art. Projects like these rarely break down over technology. More often they break down because each side understands the purpose of the meeting differently.

So I start with the goal: one goal, said out loud, and the same one for everyone at the table. Only then do we talk about who does what and when.

Your people need to convince others

I work on how teams talk about their ideas — with methods from theatre and choreography, tested on stage rather than on slides. Four formats, depending on how much time you have and what is at stake.

Talks and pitching

Preparation for a specific appearance: a conference, a piece to camera, a pitch to an investor. We work on what you say, how it reads from the room, and what to do when the nerves start.

Process facilitation

I step into a project already under way and run it from the side of how the team works — without interrupting what is already happening. This is not a single meeting: we agree on short sessions of about an hour, spread over time, four at minimum. Changing habits of thought does not happen in a day.

Performative lecture

A talk that combines a workshop and a performance. The subjects I do most often: service as performance, constraints as fuel for creativity, what writing code has in common with making a show, why a team needs diversity, cognitive metaphor in communication. The subject can be matched to whatever you happen to be discussing in the company.

A performance for your company

Together with the Newer Theatre we make an immersive dance event built around what the company has to say. We don’t need a stage — we work in a hotel, a conference centre, or public space.

Where we start

With a conversation in which you don’t need to know yet what you want. It usually makes clear whether this is a matter for one meeting, for a process, or for a project with the university — and whether I am the right person at all.
